Chelsea To Agree €110m Deal For 18-Goals In 20-Games Striker, Agent To Arrive London

Despite signing a classy player in Ross Barkley, Chelsea are still expected to sign a player before the close of the transfer window. According to reports, the Premier League Champions are willing to match the €110m (£97.6m) buy out clause of their target, Mauro Incardi.

Icardi was tipped to move away from the San Siro last summer but non of his suitors were able to meet his valuation. Real Madrid have been credited with huge interest for the Argentinean but Chelsea are looking to steal a match on the Champions League holders.

According to the Shed ender, who cited a report by Argentinian TV station, Chelsea have begun discussing with the wife of the star, Wanda Nara, who doubles as his agent. She is expected in London sooner to discuss a potential move for the 24-year-old star.

Icardi is about the hottest striker in the Seria A – despite the struggles of the Nerazzurri, he has found the back of the net 18 times in 20 League games.

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata is currently suffering goal draught at the moment and with the imminent loan move for Mitchy Batshuayi, Conte is left with no choice than to sign another striker. While Andy Carroll has been recently linked, he’s not the calibre of star wanted by Chelsea.

Icardi extended his contract with Inter Milan in the summer of 2016 but the Club are preparing to offer him a new deal that will see his release clause pegged at €200million.
