The January transfer window slams shut a week tomorrow (Wednesday 31) meaning that any deals will have to be completed soon and negotiations to progress soon.
New signings are often an exciting moment for any football fan, with a double swoop adding to the excitement if the deals can get over the line.
It also means that the club shop will be busy printing off new shirts with new names and numbers, eager to get fans in the door and buying the merchandise.

Part of that is the club announcing the squad numbers for their new signings, but what could Dzeko and Emerson get should they sign on the dotted line?
Well Dzeko could well have a fight on his hands as the current Roma striker plays in the number nine, but at the Blues summer signing Alvaro Morata has that number all wrapped up.
At Manchester City, the striker had the number 10 jersey, but it’s doubtful that he will get that from Eden Hazard, while Pedro wears the 11 shirt, the number Dzeko usually has when playing for Bosnia.
There is one number that could cause some controversy if he picks it, though, and that is the number 26. Obviously made famous by Chelsea legend John Terry, it was the first number that Dzeko had when starting his career at Zeljeznicar.

Blues supporters would probably not want the striker to go with that shirt, however the number 12 is also available and is a likely option should he join.
