Chelsea now have a herculean tax in the transfer window and it is not even the signing of players – the Blues are trying to convince N’golo Kante to remain at Stamford Bridge after Paris Saint Germain signified interest in signing the tireless midfielder, per reports.
Paris Saint Germain are already preparing for life after Thiago Motta and they have placed Kante at the top of their wishlist for players that could step into the boots of Motta, with Kante occupy the zenith of that list, according to French Pubication Le 10 Sport.
Arguably the best defensive midfielder in the Premier League, Kante joined Chelsea in the summer of 2016 in a £30million move. He currently brags of the first player in the Premier League to win the League back to back in two different clubs.
Kante was injured in the earlier part of this season and the effect was horrendous for the Blues as they struggled to win games. The 26-year-old has never experienced a deep in his form since joining Chelsea and Conte must certainly be pleased to have such a star.
Conte is currently under fire for failing to stage a title defending challenge and there are rife speculations that his day at Stamford Bridge is already numbered. Should he leave, Kante may become unsettled at club as consider leaving.
PSG have to funds to sign any player of their choice but we wait to see how this pans out.
