JUST IN: Manchester United 'Very Close' to Completing £44m Transfer for Mourinho's no.1 target

Monaco star Fabinho has fueled speculation he’s set for a move to the Premier League by revealing his time at the club is ‘coming to an end’.

The Brazilian was a driving force in the side’s extraordinary Ligue 1 title-winning campaign last season and excelled as Monaco reached the semi-finals of the Champions League. Leonardo Jardim’s side allowed the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Bernardo Silva and Tiemoue Bakayoko leave but Fabinho was considered alongside in a group with Thomas Lemar, Radamel Falcao and Djibril Sidibe is being indespendible.

Manchester United were heavily interested in the Brazilian last term and Fabinho’s admitted he’s set to leave Monaco.

‘My time with Monaco was good, but I feel my time here is coming to an end,’ Fabinho told Lancenet. ‘I know that that the club’s vision is to try to finish second and qualify for the Champions League, without counting on big-name players, but on young players. ‘I believe I have gone through this process. I arrived as an unknown, I made my name at the club, won things — but maybe I need a new challenge.’
