Manchester United are reportedly monitoring the situation Real Madrid’s Croatia midfielder Mateo Kovacic.
The 23-year-old has been strongly linked with a summer switch to Old Trafford after finding first-team appearances hard to come by at The Bernabeu.
Spanish outlet AS claims that United are one of four clubs who are monitoring Kovacic’s situation, along with Premier League rivals Tottenham, Juventus and Inter Milan.
The report goes on to state that Kovacic wanted out last summer and has hinted that he would seriously consider moving to England, if he could be guaranteed more game time.
However, it is thought that Real will not sell at any price as they regard the player as a key part of their future.
Indeed there is expected to be a major revamping of the Real squad this summer, after a disastrous La Liga title defence, and several other players are expected to be moved on ahead of Kovacic.
